Carson Makes All the Right Moves!
Interview by Jed, May 2006
Carson Parker likes to write, and he does it quite well. In an industry obssessed with looks and figures, we seldom encounter models who are not only drop-dead gorgeous but incredibly smart as well. Carson seems to be blessed with both qualities.

" I started modeling about two and a half years ago. My aunt and uncle both modeled for Ford for a long time (Lisa Parker and Dan Elsberry). I guess having vacation time with them and seeing the life they lived is what sparked my interest into trying to become a model. " Parker told ModelWatch in this exclusive interview. Back in high school, Carson made plans to try out modeling. After sending his pictures to Ford Models, he did not wait for long for a response, since the agency immediately ask him to come to the office for an interview.
" ...but I didn't go to New York to try to work till after my first year of college. They give good advice about how long it takes and what to really expect, what to stay away from and if done correctly it can be a career not just something you said you did for awhile you were young. They were very good at helping me. "

What are your first impressions of modeling? Upon signing with Ford Models, did your impressions change?
I had some misconceptions; I thought I was going to be a millionaire! Well that changed quickly when I realized I wasn't a girl. As well as the time you have to put into it before things really start rolling. But I think the hardest thing to get use to is the downtime and how lonely the business can be.
