Interview by Jed, May 2006.
With striking good looks and a charming personality to match, David Genat is not your typical Australian male model. For one, he did not target modeling as a profession. Armed with a degree in Business and Information Systems, he has the freedom to choose where to go to pursue his dreams.

" I was working as a web designer before I started modeling so you always have some skills stored away in the back of the memory bank. " he said when we asked him about his background.
David is also in touch with his spiritual side. When he won the model contest that put him into the spotlight, the first thing he said after winning the contest is to thank God:
" First and foremost I would like to thank Jesus Christ, who saved my life." as reported by sydneyanglicans.net. What sets him apart from today's batch of hungry, young male models is the capacity to know the difference between doing what it takes to reach the top and setting the limits. " I'll never go nude frontal shot, nobody wants to see that. " he said quite amused.
In this interview, we asked David more about his pledgling and very promising modeling career, something personal too, and more!

Tell us how you started modeling?
This is a really long story but I'll keep it short for you haha, I actually entered a competition in Australia named Search for a Supermodel. It was a reality TV show similar to Americas Next Top Model, but a few years before it. A good mate of mine and I where watching Zoolander and strangely enough saw a commercial for the Search not long after. He dared me $50 to enter and do Zoolander walks. I took him up on the offer and headed down with some mates hoping to get on TV.
