Diogo was born at Caxias do Sul, considered the second largest city in Rio Grande in the Southern part of Brazil. It was a former Italian colony.

He mentioned that since he is not very fluent in English, he still try his best to communicate with the people in the business, especially when he was in Milan."My experience in Milan is quite worthwhile, even though I find it hard to express myself, but still I tried to engage my bookers in some talks." Listing down Calvin Klein as one of his favorite designers, he also consider doing a CK campaign as his dream modeling assignment, much preferred if he work with another Brazilian model, Gisele.
